Google has made an awesome version of its Google Earth interactive mapping system that recreates Rome circa 320 AD—at the height of the Roman Empire.

You can even tour inside famous ancient buildings, digitally reconstructed, like the Colosseum and structures within the Roman Forum, like the Basilica Julia and the Temple of Vesta.

Check it out at earth.google.com/rome.
