Hotel Gardenia

A cheap hotel (four of them, actually) in Palermo, Sicily

The Gardenia offers serious comfort and amenities at good prices for what you get. The wonderfully firm beds in mid-size rooms are surrounded by modular furnishings and brand-new baths.

It's up on the 7th floor, with double glazing on the windows and balcony doors, so little noise filters up from the busy road below.

Back rooms are even quieter, but don't get the view of Monte Pellegrino.
