Taking a public bus to Pisa

Though—outside of a sciopero (strike)—there's little reason not to take the faster, more convenient trains, there are buses connecting Pisa with:

  • Pontedera
  • Volterra
  • Lucca
  • Livorno

Most are run by the same CTT Nord company that runs Pisa's city buses.

The closest thing Pisa has to a central bus station is the tourist-bus-parking-lot on Via della Fiamme Gialle off Via Pietrasanta, about 850m north of Campo dei Miracoli.

Many extraurbane (inter-city) coaches conveniently stop by the "Torre" stop right by the Campo dei Miracoli.
