Maps to the great city of Milan

Maps in guidebooks are handy for figuring out where recommended hotelsrestaurants, and sights are, but are rarely useful for the daily business of getting around town.

You can get decent free single-sheet maps of Paris from the tourist office, though they won't have every little street and attraction.

I like to use these freebies to mark up with my planned itineraries, but also carry a better quality map for actually navigating the city. (My favorite: the laminated Streetwise map—exactly the right size, and surprisingly complete for how compact they are.)
